Our Recap of Pet Fashion Week NY

We're back from Pet Fashion Week NY! We want to share our experience of the event and say thanks to all our friends - and the press - who stopped by our booth.

The focus of this year's Pet Fashion Week Runway Show was the ECOuture Charity Fundraiser, which was developed to provide assistance to animal shelters by offering a reliable business opportunity and to recognize companies and designers that produce eco-friendly products. Guests were encouraged to donate product (i.e. excess inventory) to The Mayor’s Alliance for NYC’s Animals. The Mayor’s Alliance will then distribute the products to shelters, allowing them to create capital through end-consumer sales, silent auctions and raffles.

Ruff Ruff and Meow is proud to have supported The ECOuture Charity Fundraiser & The Mayor's Alliance for NYC's Animals by attending the fashion show at Pet Fashion Week.

If Dogs Could Vote: Obama vs .McCain!

The enthusiasm of the 2008 Presidential campaign is spreading throughout the nation. From the millions of Americans who watched the Democratic National Convention this past week to the millions who will be watching the Republican National Convention next week, this is one Presidential race that will go down in history - no matter who wins the election in November.

At Ruff Ruff and Meow, we've taken a less scientific approach of monitoring the campaign performance, but we've decided it's important to give our furry friends a voice in voting for the next President. Quite outstanding since according to reports, Barack Obama and his wife, Michelle, don't even own a dog! However, his opponent, John McCain and his wife, Cindy, reportedly have about 24 dogs of all different breeds.
